Members of the Club left eafrly in the Morning as to catch the ferry in Dover to Caleis and then on to the Hotel into Lille for the WeekendOn Saturday they went by Coach to Artillery Wood to see the Grave of Hedd Wyn and also lay Crosses on His GraveFrom there it was onto Essex Farm to see the Bunkers of the Casualty Clearing StationThen on to Yepes to see the Museum of PeaceThe final visit of the Day was to Tyne Cot Cemetery where a great deal of Commonwealth Troops are BuriedThe evening was spent in the Hotel watching Wales lose to FijiSunday Morning began with a visit to Albert to see the Underground Museum. Then on to Danzit Alley Cemetery in the Somme Area. Followed by going to the 38th Welsh Division Memorial in Mamets Wood.At the Memorial is a large Welsh Dragon on a large concereete tower with the Cap Badge of the Welsh RegimentMr M Jennings layed a Wreath on behalf of the Blaenau Ffestiniog R.W.F. Comrade's Association and ClubThen the trip continued onto Thiepval Memorial to see the 45 Meter High Memorial. To the 72000 men who Died in the Somme SectorFinally for the long journey to Yepes to the Menem Gate for the Last Post by the Bugler and by a Lone PiperAfter this very Moveing Moment it was back to the Hotel for a night of rest to prepare for the long journey Home
